2018 closes on an exciting note for LinkNow Media, and the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres. For the sixth annual LinkNow Media Talent Show fundraiser, our talented staff and friends are headed to Vegas to see some of the hottest acts around. With performances by special celebrity guests including Cher, Celine Dion, The Blue Man Group, Elvis Presley, and David Copperfield, it’s sure to be a glitzy and star-studded evening for everybody.
With food and drink for sale and 100% of the proceeds from the event going to support the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres, odds are good it’ll be an amazing night. All of us at LinkNow will be headed down to the strip, hoping to strike it rich, with the foster kids at the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres guaranteed to win big—with your help.
LinkNow And The New Secret Santa
After years of gag-gift coworker gift exchanges left everyone feeling a little cold, we thought that warming the hearts of others would be a nice change! So, in 2015, we started a gift drive for the foster children at the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres.
For many children in foster care, Christmas is a difficult time. Many children working with the Batshaw Centres don’t have stable care for basic necessities, let alone extra gifts for Christmas. By donating gifts and raising money for the foster care organization, LinkNow Media gives back to their community—and hopes to make it a happy holiday season for all.
In 2016 we raised a whopping $33 000 and 650 gifts for the children at Batshaw Youth and Family Centres! And with $25 000 and 450 gifts last year, let’s work together to make 2018 our best year yet!
A Tradition of Talent
Day in, day out we work hard to build beautiful websites for our clients. But it turns out, that’s not the only thing we’re good at! This year, for our annual talent show fundraiser, we’re headed down to the neon-soaked streets of Las Vegas for a thrilling evening.
When Max Karpman, LinkNow’s energetic training officer and fundraiser extraordinaire, puts on a show, you know it’ll be a wild time.
Combined with the stunning dancing, singing, acting, and yes, even magical talents of our friends at coworkers here at the office, expect performances worthy of the Las Vegas Strip.
Charity Auction and Raffle
Got stage fright? Participating as an audience member in the talent show is just as fun, if not more so! With a cash bar and lots of delicious food, relax and enjoy the show. All proceeds will go toward the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres.
This year there’ll also be a wonderful charity auction and a raffle featuring must-have gifts and experiences. It’s the ideal way to knock some items off your holiday shopping list while supporting a worthwhile cause. In the past, we’ve had some pretty amazing prizes! Everything from haircuts to hockey tickets, and homemade jewelry to paintings!
Plus, there may or may not be some fabulous pyrotechnic displays planned, just like on the real Las Vegas Strip. The only way to find out for sure is to join us for this unforgettable evening!
